Alyssa Zakaria is an LA based creative originally from the small suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
After graduating from Chapman University with a B.F.A. in Creative Producing, Alyssa continued to pursue and learn more about writing and directing for the next few months under her mentor writer/director Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Beauty and the Beast, Wonder). Since graduating, she also began working for fashion/beauty photographer Raquel Rischard, which is how Alyssa began her photography work just a little over a year ago in 2016. With skills in photography, producing, directing, writing, and social media, Alyssa aims to work on projects that emphasize the importance of visual storytelling and drawing emotion.
Her instagram, @breakingapathy, is slowly transitioning into becoming a creative label for her art work and creative lifestyle. For Alyssa, Breaking Apathy represents the act of creating to feel alive. She wants her page to be a mood board of pieces that make people feel deeply like she does when she conceptualizes and creates based off her thoughts and emotions.
